A gas meter is needed to provide your home or office with an economical supply of energy for hot water, heating and cooking. One of our tradesmen is able to extend the line or move the gas meter location to a more suited position if requested. Our services also include stove installation (we can also take the old stove away) and BBQ conversion from lpg to natural, to save you continually having to exchange bottles at service stations. Regulations disallow bayonet points in a hallway or a bedroom, but heater bayonet points can be installed almost anywhere else.
A gas meter location is normally found at the front of your premises, or in the case of apartment buildings close to the front door. It is important to know where yours is located in case you need to turn off your supply flow in an emergency. It can also be worthwhile checking the reading yourself periodically.
A gas flow meter and leak test may be worth considering if you are at all concerned about excessive charges from your utilities company. This involves carrying out a pressure test and using a specialised bubble detector and other equipment to gauge whether there are any inconsistencies with the flow to and from your gas meter. Ensure that you aren't paying for more than you use.
A gas flow meter test, re-location or BBQ conversion can be performed by all of our friendly and experienced plumbers. Don't risk a dangerous installation and ensure you comply with all regulations - use a licensed gasfitter from PAV Plumbing Sydney.
